Alexandrov is a town in Vladimir region on the way from Yaroslavl to Moscow. Current population is about 60 thousand people. In the past it was Tsar residence and it still has Kremlin called Alexandrovskaya sloboda. The first palace was build by Vasiliy III in 1513. But Ivan Grozniy later made from this fortress second Russian capital. The most of negotiations with foreign ambassadors took place here.

 At the second part of XVII century Uspenskiy monastery was founded instead.

Alexandrov is small town. One day is enough to see all sights. Kremlin is good idea to dive into the ancient and dramatic Russian history.
